Apples for Breakfast

Just in case you wonder what we eat now that we don't eat (much) grain...
Just in case you are like us...
Here is a delicious breakfast recipe:



1 Shredded Apple
1 tsp of finely chopped walnuts
1 pinch of cinnamon sugar (to taste, depending on the apple)
2 tablespoons of cream

1.  Place the shredded apple in a bowl.  Top with cinnamon sugar and walnuts, then mix thoroughly.
2.  Add cream and enjoy as is or warmed in an oven safe dish for 15 minutes.

That sounds amazing! Sorry I didn't reply to your text, we have all these people coming in and out trying to do all the repairs they were suppose to do before we moved in! I think we will have to try this recipe tomorrow :)

this sounds good, but how do you shred an apple??? with a cheese shredder? -tk

Yes, you can use a cheese grater. We have an old Salad Shooter that works really well. The neighbors use the shred attachment on their food processor. :)
