We tried out the best recipe this past week, and it includes something we haven't had a really long time. NACHOS!
But, hold on to your seats, these were made from pears and apples! No cheese or black olives but peanutbutter and chocolate chips! They were delish!
Here is the recipe:
2 apples or pears, cored (and peeled if you need to). We liked the pears the best-the crisp muted flavor showcased the toppings better!
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of chocolate chips (10 or less is plenty)
1 tablespoon of finely chopped walnuts or pecans
Combine peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 10 second increments and stir until smooth. Slice the pears or apples and lay them out, nacho fashion, on the plate. Drizzle with melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture and top with walnuts.
Enjoy with a fork, or plan to lick your fingers! Yum!
